Introduction

GGM309U GPS Receiver provides you various applications such as car navigation, marine navigation, mapping, surveying, security, agriculture and so on. It communicates with device (such as PocketPC or notebook) via compatible dual-channel through RS-232 or TTL and saves satellite data by built–in backup memory. Low power consumption technology enables GGM309 and your device to save more operating power. Furthermore, GGM309R can track up to 20 satellites at a time, re-acquire satellite signals in 100ms and update position data every second. Trickle-Power allows the unit to operate a fraction of the time, and Push-to-Fix permits user to have a quicker position fix even though the receiver stays off.

Compatible Software for GPS Receivers

All our GPS Receivers create virtual COM port (using drivers supplied) on computer and stream data in standard NMEA format on the com port. Several free/paid GPS software are available which can connect to virtual COM port created by GPS receiver drivers and accept standard NMEA data.

Google Earth is most famous GPS software today but its free version does not allow receiving data from COM port. You can buy Google Earth Plus to do this. Else we also have some other options.
